Carrol Jaques has a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta and Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Arts degrees from the University of Calgary. She is a former teacher and currently a writer. Most recently, Carrol wrote the chapter on the third Premier of Alberta, Charles Stewart, in Alberta Premiers of the Twentieth Century, published for the 2005 Alberta Centennial.
Currently, she is Chair of the Calgary Rutherford Club as well as Secretary for the Alberta Liberal Party. Carrol has been a member of several volunteer boards: Alberta TrailNet, Varsity Community Association and the Parkinsons Society. She is currently Treasurer of Chinook County Historical Society in Calgary.
