Grant Dunlop’s Biography

Grant Dunlop is a partner in the Ogilvie LLP law firm. Since 1989, he has practiced civil litigation including employment law, directors’ and officers’ liability, breach of trust, insurance, construction and products liability and administrative and regulatory proceedings.  He is also an adjunct professor in the Department of Management Sciences at Concordia University College and reviews legislation in bill form as a member of the Joint Legislative Review Committee of the Law Society of Alberta and Canadian Bar Association. 

He has been a director and an officer of Student Legal Services, Northern Light Theatre, the Comedy Arts Society and the Edmonton Community Lottery Board and an instructor with the Board Development Program.  Prior to becoming President, Grant was the Vice-President, Constituency Organization of the Alberta Liberal Party and a member of the board of the Edmonton-Centre ALP Constituency Association. 

He holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law degrees from the University of Alberta and is a lifelong resident of Edmonton.
